A home is more than just a living space; it's where your soul finds peace, and the people inside complete your life. The homeowners didn't just want a fresh makeover for their abode; they sought a cozy nest that would facilitate intimate interaction.
The absence of windows along a long dining room wall cast a dark and dull ambiance over the entire apartment. To infuse warmth and delight, the kitchen wall opposite the dining room was replaced with a sliding glass door and a half-waist kitchen island. This transformation allows soft sunlight to permeate the space and enhances the connection between these two essential areas.
A lattice window wall was introduced along the upper section of the study wall, facing the sitting and dining rooms. This subtle addition creates an illusion of more significant space in the living area. Like the sliding glass door in the kitchen, the lattice window wall reinforces interaction between the homeowners, even when they're in separate rooms. It's a reminder that sometimes, a wall can inadvertently keep people apart, but genuine interaction is the key to bringing hearts together.
Careful choices in color, materials, and lighting are the small details that make a significant difference. The apricot wall next to the dining table, the rusty orange sofa, the delicate pink wallpaper in the master bedroom, and the gentle greyish-green tones in the kitchen and guest room complement each other harmoniously, enhancing the overall aesthetic without overwhelming the space.
